This will be the primary synoptic feature influencing our weather through the weekend. In addition, the low level thermal ridge is forecast to expand eastward and strengthen across our area on Saturday. High temperatures are forecast to surge well into the mid 90s to near 100 degrees across the Big Country and Concho Valley where 850 mb temperatures will be the highest. The record high for March for both Abilene and San Angelo (98 degrees for both sites) could very well be tied or broken on Saturday. Elsewhere, highs will be in the mid 90s. Very warm temperatures once again expected with highs in the 99 to 102 range in the the Big Country, with mid/upper 90s to the south.
