Temperatures are also a few degrees cooler, and along with the winds is resulting in chillier conditions than yesterday. For tonight, winds will diminish to less than 10 mph out of the north/northeast, and lows will drop into the low to mid 30s. On Wednesday, another weak push of cooler air will keep winds out of the north, and keep temperatures near normal with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s in most areas. && .LONG TERM... (Wednesday through next Tuesday) Issued at 1145 PM CST Mon Feb 2 2026 A secondary surge of cooler air will push through West Central Texas Wednesday morning, resulting in gusty north winds and reinforcing the cooler temperatures. Highs on Wednesday will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s across the Big Country to the low to mid 60s elsewhere. Clear skies and light winds overnight will result in good radiational cooling conditions. Thursday morning lows will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s for most locations. A steady warm up is then forecast Thursday into the weekend as weak upper level ridging builds across the region. Highs on Thursday will be in the 60s, with highs on Friday back into the lower 70s. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 70s, although a few locations could approach 80. Overnight lows will generally be in the 40s. The next upper level trough/low will approach the forecast area late this weekend into early next week.
