What this means for West Central Texas is warmer conditions under south to southwesterly flow, and gusty south to southwest winds from 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts from 25 to 35 mph in the afternoon. High temperatures today are expected to reach into the 60s, and overnight lows into Tuesday are expected in the upper 30s to near 50. Highs on Wednesday will be in the 50s and lower 60s, with lows Tuesday night and Wednesday night mainly in the 30s, although some upper 20s will be possible in some of the outlying areas early Thursday morning. A warming trend will take place by late into the weekend, as ridging aloft builds over the Southern Plains and south winds return.
