Synoptically we'll remain in a favorable pattern for dry, stable 

weather through Friday thanks to a ridge across the West and 

a trough across the East which situates us in northwesterly flow

aloft. High pressure will remain just to our east which will 

promote continued southerly to southwesterly winds Thursday and 

Friday. Afternoon temperatures will be much warmer on Friday as 

southwesterly winds/warm advection increases ahead of a 

front/clipper system passing to our northeast.

Not much is expected to change with the overall weather pattern

this weekend into next week. Guidance favors continued

northwesterly flow aloft and passing shortwaves in the region. 

The most notable system will be Sunday night into Monday as a 

stronger cold front passes through the TN Valley bringing a brief 

cool-down after low rain chances (<30%). We should be back on the

warm-up again mid next week. All things considered, this is a 

very good weather pattern.

increase to 5-8 kts out of the S/SSW after 15z before decreasing
