-Temperatures and humidity will increase into the weekend, with

 heat headlines possible by Thursday and Friday.



-Rain chances remain low through the middle of this week, with

 PoPs increasing by the end of this week and into the weekend.



-As temperatures rise through the week, make sure to take breaks

 outside and drink plenty of water.

To begin the period, AR continues to be sandwiched between an 

upper level trough to the east and a strong upper level ridge to 

the west. This will continue to bring mild and dry conditions to

the state. With that said, the pattern will begin to break down 

over the next few days as the next heat wave moves in later this 

week.



As the pattern breaks down, the ridge out west will slowly expand

back keeping Arkansas in eastern side of the ridge early in the

week before completely dominating the pattern by late in the week.

This will slowly increase temperatures and humidity across the

state through the workweek. Expect cooler temperatures early in

the period before hot temperatures return late in the week into

next week. Heat headlines will likely be needed by Thursday and 

Friday afternoons.



Additionally, PoP chances increases as we get towards the end of 

the week and into the weekend as NW flow settles over the state.

Expect VFR conditions to persist throughout the entire forecast

period. Light winds will prevail through the period and

predominately out of the south and southeast. HREF and BUFKIT 

soundings shows more diurnal CU on Wednesday afternoon with some 

high level cloudiness over northwest Arkansas.
