(Today through Tuesday) Issued at 126 AM CDT Mon Apr 7 2025 Short Term... Mostly clear skies and light wind this morning will allow temperatures to drop well below normal into the 30s to mid 40s across South Central Texas. The coldest areas will be over the southern Edwards Plateau and Hill Country where some locations, such as low lying areas along rivers, may see brief freezing temperatures or a light freeze before sunrise. The cold will be short lived as surface high pressure dominates over Texas today with sunny skies allowing highs into the upper 60s north to the mid 70s and low 80s south. Lows will be warmer tonight into Tuesday with no freezing concerns. High pressure moves east off the coast for Tuesday bringing back southerly flow to the area. This will allow for warmer highs on Tuesday back into the 70s and 80s. && .LONG TERM...
