Issued at 159 PM CDT Thu Mar 19 2026 Very little change from the previous forecast package with ridging remaining in control aloft through early next week. Rain-free conditions will persist with daily Elevated fire weather concerns across the inland Coastal Plains and Brush Country. Winds will generally be light to moderate through the end of the week, with gusts to around 20 mph at times during the afternoon hours. We will continue to monitor conditions in case a Fire Danger Statement is required. Otherwise, expect a warming trend to continue into the weekend, with highs approaching the triple digits out west by Saturday. There is a 30-50% chance of patchy to areas of fog developing late tonight into early Friday morning mainly over portions of the Victoria Crossroads and inland Coastal Plains.
