Medium chances (30-60%) for rain return Tuesday across the eastern 

half of the South Texas with low chances (30-40%) being introduced 

across the western half Tuesday night into Wednesday. By Thursday, 

areawide medium to high (45-70%) rain chances will return and 

persist through through Friday before dropping to low to medium (30-

50%) chances this weekend. With the return of the rain, the heat 

will diminish to more reasonable levels with heat index values 

struggling to reach 110 degrees Wednesday through the weekend. 

Although rain chances will be elevated, beneficial rain is not 

anticipated with accumulations generally expected to remain below 1" 

through the weekend. However, although the chances will be low, it 

would not be out of the question that some areas could see over an 

1" of rain within the strongest thunderstorms, especially if they 

begin move over the same area.

VFR conditions are expected to prevail through the period. Some

periods of MVFR to LIFR CIGs and VSBYs will be possible once again

around day break as winds calm. This is will be brief like the

past few days burning off around mid-morning. During the afternoon

period, chances for convection will increase to around 45-75%

Tuesday across much of the eastern portions of the region. This

will last through the evening hours.

A light to gentle breeze (BF 2-3) is expected to prevail this week. 

Rain chances will return Tuesday with a medium chance (25-65%) for 

each afternoon through the end of the weekend.
