FXUS64 KCRP 031138 AFDCRP Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Corpus Christi TX 538 AM CST Tue Feb 3 2026 ...New AVIATION... .KEY MESSAGES... Updated at 528 AM CST Tue Feb 3 2026 - Warming conditions through most of the week - Low to medium rain chances northeast Tuesday and Wednesday && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 1200 AM CST Tue Feb 3 2026 Some showers will be possible this morning as we have some moisture convergence along the coast and some upper level support with the front approaching the region. Chances will remain rather low at this time and isolated to the east in the Crossroads region. The cold front will push through the region tomorrow clearing the region by Wednesday morning. Other than that expect genuinely calm conditions across the region with highs cooling slightly behind the front. Conditions will gradually warm climbing back into the 80s by Saturday. Some marine fog will be possible Tuesday. Dewpoints are progged to increase into the upper 50s and lower 60s, the caveat being the water temperatures. We will have to monitor water temperatures around from now to then to see if they will increase above those temps. Otherwise the period will be relatively dry heading into next week. We will see temperatures warm again by this coming weekend around 80 degrees once again especially out west. && .AVIATION... (12Z TAFS) Issued at 528 AM CST Tue Feb 3 2026 Enough low-level saturation and lighter winds inland has allowed for patches of dense fog to develop stretching from ALI to VCT early this morning. I only expect these conditions to continue to linger for a couple more hours before the fog lifts and MVFR ceilings linger slightly longer before winds strengthen. By late morning, southerly winds will strengthen to a sustain 15-20 knots with gusts of 25-30 knots through much of the afternoon. A cold front will pass through South Texas overnight tonight, shifting winds out of the north at about 10 knots. There is only a very low chance of showers over the Victoria Crossroads area with the passing of the front, but not enough confidence to include any mention at this time. && .MARINE... Issued at 1200 AM CST Tue Feb 3 2026 Winds are fresh to strong out of the south to southeasterly flow (BF 5-6) tonight through this morning. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for this period until the afternoon. Winds subside Tuesday by this period, but will once again increase overnight into Wednesday morning behind a cold front that will push through the area. A few showers will be possible through Wednesday. && .FIRE WEATHER... Issued at 1200 AM CST Tue Feb 3 2026 RH will continue to increase today with onshore flow continuing to pump moisture back into the region. ERC values remain generally low, and the potential for critical fire conditions is low. There is a low to medium chance for showers today into tomorrow mainly in the Victoria Crossroads as a cold front swings through the area. Relative humidity values will fall behind the front to low levels (<30%) but winds will remain generally at light to moderate levels. Moisture will return around early portions of next week (Sunday). && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
