(Tonight through Monday night) Issued at 136 PM CDT Sun Apr 6 2025 A rather potent cold front for early April has kept temperatures in the low 60s for most locations, with MFE nudging into the mid 60s. With this in mind, and persistent northerly flow through the short term, have dropped temperatures a couple of degrees. Abundant sunshine will help with highs tomorrow afternoon, but allow temps to free fall in the evening due to radiational cooling. May not have gone low enough Monday night across the ranchlands. Along the beach, expect elevated and life-threatening surf conditions through Monday. && .LONG TERM... This warming trend should continue through Sunday as temperatures warm slightly above seasonal levels in the upper 80s/lower 90s. No rain is expected between Tuesday and Sunday, and skies are expected to by sunny to partly cloudy. Winds are expected to be light to moderate, starting easterly on Tuesday and veering southeasterly by Thursday. On Friday, winds should back to a northeasterly direction before veering back to a southeasterly direction for the weekend. Due to the lighter winds and clearer skies, radiational cooling should be fairly strong through Friday night with lows in the upper 50s across the region. These low temperatures should begin to warm into the lower 60s by Saturday night into Sunday. && .AVIATION...
