FXUS63 KGRB 250355 AFDGRB Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Green Bay WI 1055 PM CDT Fri Oct 24 2025 Updated aviation portion for 06Z TAF issuance .KEY MESSAGES... - Small warmup expected for the weekend. - Small chances of rain (15-25%) retained in the forecast for Saturday. - Next chance for rain will be in the middle of next week but confidence is low (20-30%). Impacts are expected to be low. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 200 PM CDT Fri Oct 24 2025 Forecast Through Saturday... Cloud cover returned to the region during the morning hours as high clouds arrived from the west. These clouds are expected to progress out of the region through the afternoon and evening, bringing back some sunshine and clear skies for the late afternoon and evening period. Next round of clouds will arrive during the overnight period as an upper shortwave approaches the region. This feature will be accompanied by some scattered (15-25%) shower coverage by Saturday morning, but lack of significant moisture will largely hamper both amounts and coverage across out area. Latest guidance does take this feature a bit more easterly, expanding coverage of showers into the early afternoon for portions of eastern Wisconsin. Regardless, overall impacts are expected to be low. Rest of the forecast... Dry conditions are expected from Saturday night through Monday as high pressure builds in overhead. Longer range guidance then suggests the development of a closed upper low over the upper Midwest, that will then dive southeastwards into the southern Great Lakes. This could bring our next round of showers to the region as we remain on the fringes of this potential system, but timing/coverage resolution remains low with this features. Thus, carried some broader, but lower confidence (20-30%) pops for the Tuesday/Wednesday timeframe. Temperatures... A brief warmup is possible over the weekend with highs getting into the 50s everywhere including a few high 50s for Sunday. Following this, temperatures cool back down for the next couple of days, with highs staying largely in the 50s each day. Overnight temperatures next week will also largely stay in the lower to middle 30s, except for a few of the coldest spots in the north which may briefly hit the upper 20s at times. && .AVIATION...for 06Z TAF Issuance Issued at 1052 PM CDT Fri Oct 24 2025 Mid clouds will thicken overnight as a short-wave trough approaches from central MN.
