Issued at 427 AM CDT Tue Aug 4 2026 Current surface analysis places cold front stretching through the upper Midwest into the central plains, while high pressure settles over the northern plains. Upper level analysis places trough stretching through eastern Manitoba, with ridge off the west coast. Quiet weather remains over our area in the wake of a front and affiliated wave that moved through last night bringing some precipitation to parts of the area. For today, a cooler and dry day is on tap in the wake of the aforementioned cold front with most locations only pushing into the lower to mid 70s, which is about 10 to 15 degrees below average. Warmer air then starts to work into the area through mid-week resulting in a warming trend bringing temperatures back up to near to a bit above average. Mainly dry conditions are expected through this period, though a weak disturbance moving through may bring a light shower or storm to the Turtle Mountains and surrounding area. Seasonal temperatures then continue through the weekend into early next week. Dry weather also continues going into the weekend, with some low to medium (20 to 40 percent) chances for precipitation developing early next week. && .AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z WEDNESDAY/...
