Added patchy frost to parts of the region Wednesday night and Thursday night. Increased wind gusts for parts of tonight. && .KEY MESSAGES... 1) A cold front will continue to move into the area this afternoon. The front will move to the south tonight into early Wednesday. Rain will move across the area this afternoon through the overnight hours. 2) Cooler conditions will persist through the end of the week. Temperatures will moderate over the weekend, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms also returning. && .DISCUSSION... KEY MESSAGE 1) A cold front will continue to work through the region today into tonight. There is some limited instability today and therefore a few thunderstorms will be possible in advance of the main area of rain. A few embedded thunderstorms will be possible into the evening hours with the more widespread rain showers. Rain will continue overnight before starting to taper off around daybreak. KEY MESSAGE 2) With the passage of a cold front today into tonight expect cooler conditions across the region. Patchy frost will be possible in areas that drop down into the 30s Wednesday night and Thursday night. High temperatures will only be in the 50s and 60s Wednesday and Thursday. 60s are expected areawide for Friday. 60s and 70s will then be possible over the weekend. && .AVIATION /00Z WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY/... As the cold front continues to push east this evening, cigs will drop into IFR behind it with IFR to LIFR cigs expected through the rest of the night. These will be accompanied by showers with vsbys in the MVFR yo locally IFR range overnight. Pcpn will begin to taper off late tonight into Wednesday morning from the west. Some partial clearing will be possible as VFR conditions develop from mid to late morning. VFR conditions will then prevail through the remainder of the TAF period.
