Snow is expected to develop Sunday and continue into Sunday night. Some travel difficulties are expected. KEY MESSAGE 1 DESCRIPTION... Low pressure will track east from New York State Sunday and then south of the Gulf of Maine during Sunday night. Snow is expected to overspread the region Sunday morning and continue into Sunday night. The greater snow accumulations will be across the Central Maine Highlands, the Bangor region and all of coastal and interior Downeast areas. Temperatures are expected to be in the lower 30s Sunday and have adjusted snow ratios down a bit from NBM. Expecting a general swath of 3 to 5 inches for much of the aforementioned areas, although some locally higher amounts of around 6 inches will be possible. Some travel impacts are expected Sunday into Sunday night, especially for the Bangor region. Snowfall amounts will decrease significantly north of the Millinocket region. Across areas of far northern Aroostook County, such as the Saint John Valley, will likely not see much, if any measurable snowfall.
