Through 12 PM, widely scattered showers, and possibly an isolated

thunderstorm, will move southwest at near 20 knots across mainly the

Straits of Florida but will on occasion brush the island chain and 

its nearshore waters. Mariners encountering the stronger activity 

can expect brief bouts of moderate to heavy rainfall, wind gusts of 

25 to 30 knots, and brief bouts of lightning. Showers crossing land 

will be capable of producing up to an additional one to two

hundredths of an inch of accumulation.
