Through 500 pm, isolated showers and thunderstorm will wax and wane 

as they move to the south to southwest at near 5 knots across the 

westernmost Florida Straits and outer Gulf water surrounding the Dry

Tortugas. Mariners encountering this activity can expect reduced 

visibility in bouts of moderate to heavy rain, wind gusts of 20 to 25

knots, and brief bouts of lightning.

Through 500 pm, showers and thunderstorms moving off the mainland

will move across the Upper Keys. Wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph is

possible along with moderate to heavy downpours, and bouts of

frequent lightning. Island communities may observe an additional half

to three-quarters of an inch of rainfall.
