Through 630 PM, isolated showers across the northeast portions of Florida Bay, mainly east of a line from Mosquito Point to the Upper Keys, mainly north of Tavernier, will continue to move to the east to southeast between 5 to 10 knots. Mariners encountering this activity in Florida Bay can expect heavy downpours, wind gusts of 20 to 25 knots, with the potential for a lightning strike or two not completely ruled out. On land, rainfall amounts of a few tenths to a quarter of an inch are possible between Tavernier and Key Largo with locally higher in excess of a quarter inch also possible where the heaviest rain occurs. $$ MJV
