Through 300 pm, a broken band of scattered showers and isolated 

thunderstorms associated with a boundary pushing northward from the 

Island Chain will grow in coverage and intensity across the Florida 

Bay, Bayside, and Gulfside nearshore waters. Mariners encountering 

the strongest embedded storms can expect blinding downpours, wind 

gusts 20 to 25 knots, and a few cloud to surface lightning strikes.
