A weak trough lies over the Niuas and Vava'u groups with associated c

louds and

scattered showers. This trough is expected to approach Ha'apai, Tonga

tapu and

'Eua later this afternoon and tomorrow. Meanwhile, a ridge of high-pr

essure

extends onto the southern waters of the group directing a east to nor

theasterly

wind flow across Tonga.
