A trough is approaching from the east of Tongatapu, 'Eua and Ha'apai groups by today until tomorrow with associated clouds, occasional showers, heavy falls with easterly fresh to strong gusty winds particular for the coastal waters.

FOR ALL OF TONGA:
Light to moderate east to southeast winds, fresh at times.
Mainly fine fine apart from Tongatapu, 'Eua and Ha'apai will become cloudy this by noon with occasional showers and can be heavy at times in the evening.

Light to moderate easterly winds.
Mainly fine during the day apart from cloudy periods with overnight showers.

AN EXTREME HIGH TIDE REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL OF TONGA COASTAL WATERS.

FOR THE NIUAS COASTAL WATERS:
East to southeast winds 10-15 knots, rising to 20 knots at times, easing by this evening.
Slight to moderate seas (up to 1.5 metres). Possible flooding in low lying areas due to extreme high tides.

FOR THE REST OF TONGA COASTAL WATERS:
East to southeast winds 10-15 knots, rising to 20-25 knots at times today.
