A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR LAND AREAS AND WATERS OF

SOUTHERN COOKS. 



Situation:

A high pressure system to the southeast of Southern Cooks generates

and directs a strong easterly wind flow over the group. Meanwhile, a

trough of low pressure affects the northern parts of the group.



An easterly wind flow prevails over Northern Cooks. Meanwhile, a weak

trough of low pressure lies slow moving in the vicinity of the group.





Forecast to midnight tonight for the Southern Cooks:

For Land and waters: 

Expect fresh to strong easterly winds with average wind speeds up to

25 knots.

Rough seas.

Moderate southerly swells.



Some showers and isolated thunderstorms about the northern parts.

Elsewhere, cloudy periods with brief showers.
