Situation: A weak trough of low pressure lies over the southwest of

Viti Levu. Associated cloud and showers are expected to affect the

group till tomorrow. Meanwhile, a moist easterly wind flow prevails

over the group.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:

Occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms over Serua-Namosi,

Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, southern Bua, Cakaudrove,

eastern Macuata, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau, Lomaiviti,

Kadavu and nearby smaller islands. 

Fine weather apart from afternoon or evening showers elsewhere. 

Afternoon thunderstorms with heavy falls expected over Viti Levu and

Vanua Levu. 

Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low-lying and

flood prone areas.

Moderate easterly winds. 

Moderate seas.



Outlook for Sunday     : Cloudy periods with some showers over
