A cold front continues to be on track to bring light rain to the

North Bay, beginning during the overnight hours tonight, with the

front expected to push east of our area by late afternoon Saturday.

A second round of rainfall will move through Sunday. Both

disturbances will bring wetting rains with little to no impacts,

cooler temperatures, moderate winds and higher humidity. Monday will

see a return to near normal temperatures and drier conditions.

A moderate Atmospheric River (AR) will impact the  region Friday

through the weekend. This will bring heavy  rainfall, high-

elevation snow and strong southerly winds. Southerly winds will

increase throughout Friday, becoming strong  over the ridges and

coastal headlands of Del Norte and Humboldt  through the afternoon

and overnight hours. Periods of strong  southerly winds and moderate

to heavy rainfall can be expected  Saturday and potentially again

Sunday. There will be continued  rain chances next week, but

coverage is in question.
