15 to 35 percent chance of thunderstorms over the Sierra Nevada 

Monday, decreasing to 10 to 15 percent on Tuesday. 5 to 20% 

chance across the Valley and into the foothills during this 

period. 20 to 60 percent chance of 4 inches of snow above 8,000 

feet with this system. Gusty winds return to the Sierra Crest, 

Coast Range, and eastern Kern and Tulare Counties through Tuesday 

morning. A cooling trend through Tuesday before above-average 

temperatures return Wednesday in a drying pattern.
