.DISCUSSION...

Much more tranquil conditions can be expected during the upcoming

forecast period as winds will be noticeable calmer compared to the

last few days. A southwesterly component will be favored through

most of of Wednesday, with perhaps some variability during the 

mid to late morning hours. Some occasional gusts cannot be 

completely ruled out during the afternoon hours, but they will be 

infrequent and around 15-20 mph at most. Diurnal trends will be 

favored for Wednesday into Thursday with a typical easterly wind 

shift taking place, veering to the southwest again by Thursday 

afternoon. Air quality issues are likely to be an issue early in

the forecast with a deep nocturnal inversion in place. With this 

stronger cap in place, it may take a little longer to erode, but 

should break by around 8-9 a.m MST. Warming temperatures and 

drier air will result in a downtrend in RH values during the 

coming days, but decent overnight recovery will continue for at 

least one more day with MaxRH readings peaking around 50-55% 

Wednesday morning. MinRHs will be slightly lower compared to 

Tuesday, with readings hovering near 15-20%.
