Temperatures will be well above normal today through Saturday, and Sunday for location along and south of I-44 in Missouri and south of I-70 in Illinois. Highs will ranges through the 70s to low-80s each of the next three days with cooler temperatures entering northern Missouri and west-central Illinois Sunday. Minimum RH values range from near 30 percent to 45 percent across the region with the lowest values extending from south-central Missouri through southeast Missouri. Light south-southwesterly flow is expected today with speeds around or less than 5 mph. Mixing heights generally range from 3,000 feet to 5,000 feet. Transport winds remain weak over much of the region with poor ventilation rates. The one exception is over southeast Missouri, near and northeast of the Ozarks, where slightly stronger transport winds result in fair ventilation and slightly higher mixing heights that peak just below 6,000 feet. Minimum RH values remain fairly consistent now through the weekend. However, the pick day is likely Friday with slightly better transport winds and some improvement to ventilation. Conditions return to fair/poor categories Saturday. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly sunny (25-35 percent). CWR.................1 percent. Chance of thunder...3 percent.
