.DISCUSSION...Temperatures today will range from the upper 70s to

upper 80s with minimum humidities ranging from 10 to 25%. Winds 

will be out of the west at 10 to 20 mph, gusting up to 25 to 30 

mph. The combination of unseasonably warm temperatures, dry 

conditions, and breezy westerly winds will create very high fire 

danger across much of the area.

...VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER...



The grassland fire danger index will reach the very high category

this afternoon. Very poor weather conditions and very low 

moisture content of grasses, and other dry organic material on 

the ground, indicate that dangerous burning conditions exist. 

Fires will spread rapidly and show erratic behavior. Outdoor 

burning is not recommended.



The outlook for Saturday afternoon, The grassland fire danger

index will reach the high category to extreme category.
