A cool front will drop south through the region today, turning southwesterly winds this morning to the north with the frontal passage. North winds will increase behind the front, with gusts of 30 to 35 mph expected this afternoon. If sprinkles or light rain showers develop along and behind the front, isolated stronger gusts of 40 to 45 mph will be possible. Cooler temperatures tonight through the middle of the week.
