Some early morning storm activity over northwest Arkansas is expected to end by mid morning. Severe weather is not expected with this activity. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop along or near a frontal boundary across northwest into west-central Arkansas by mid to late afternoon. These storms will be capable of producing all modes of severe weather, including large hail, locally damaging wind and tornadoes. The main limitation will be the limited time they spend in the region, as the storms are expected to mature as they move quickly eastward toward central Arkansas. Additional storms are expected to form near extreme southeast Oklahoma by late afternoon as well. These storms will be capable of producing severe weather, but will most likely be east of the forecast area when they do. There is a low chance of storms tonight across southeast Oklahoma into west-central Arkansas, on the cool side of the front. There is a limited large hail threat over extreme southeast Oklahoma near the Red River. A low pressure system and cold front in the region today will be strong winds/gusts. Gusts to around 35 mph are possible across northeast Oklahoma behind a cold front this afternoon. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
