Elevated fire weather conditions will develop this afternoon across most of the Caprock and Rolling Plains due to the combination of breezy, west-southwesterly winds and low relative humidity. A Fire Danger Statement is in effect from 2 PM until 9 PM CDT. Isolated thunderstorms may develop along the dryline in the eastern Rolling Plains and extreme southeastern Texas Panhandle this afternoon. Storms that develop will be quick to move east of the forecast area. These storms may produce severe wind gusts to 60 mph. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
