This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of east central, 

north central, and northeast Kansas.



.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight



Very high fire danger is forecast for this afternoon for areas

along and west of a line from Emporia to Marysville. Warm

temperatures are expected to lead to RH values between 20 and 25

percent. Check with local authorities before starting a planned

burn.



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday



Elevated fire concerns are likely to remain through the weekend as

warm and dry weather persists. Saturday may be the more critical

day if winds become stronger than they are currently forecast. A

cold front Sunday morning should cause winds to shift to the 

north and become gusty.
