Weather hazards expected... Marginal hail risk. Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk. Elevated lightning risk. Limited non thunderstorm wind risk. Elevated fire weather risk. DISCUSSION... Gusty southerly winds will occur this morning into this evening with gusts up to around 35 mph at times. There is a low chance for an isolated thunderstorm across central Missouri late this morning into this afternoon but most locations should remain dry. Showers and thunderstorms will move southeast through the area late this evening into Tuesday morning as a front moves into the region. A few strong to severe storms will be possible, with hail to the size of quarters and damaging winds up to 60 mph the main risks. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms will likely be ongoing across portions of the area as a front moves through the area. Instability will develop south of the front Tuesday afternoon, generally south of I-44 where additional strong to severe storms will be possible. Hail up to the size of half dollars and damaging winds to 60 mph will be the main risks with a few of the strongest storms Tuesday afternoon.
