North Carolina, western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of

an approaching cold front today throug tonight. A few storms may 

become strong to severe, with damaging wind gusts as the main 

threat. Additionally, stronger showers and storms may produce locally

heavy rainfall. A brief tornado cannot be ruled out.
