Afternoon temperatures were in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Tranquil weather conditions will be in store for the central plains tonight with clear skies. Overnight lows will range from the mid 40s over western Nebraska to the upper 50s in central Oklahoma. The very warm and dry weather pattern will continue across the Heartland on Saturday. South winds will begin to increase over the region as surface low pressure deepens across eastern Colorado. Daytime highs will be in the 90s with some new record high temperatures possibly being broken across middle America. $$
