This activity was most numerous in parts of eastern Kansas early this morning. Under partly to mostly cloudy conditions, early morning temperatures ranged from the 60s in western Kansas to the mid 70s in eastern Kansas. Showers and thunderstorms could linger over eastern Kansas this morning before redeveloping this afternoon across central and eastern Kansas. Afternoon highs are expected to climb into the 90s once again, highest over southern Kansas where some upper 90s will be common. Showers and thunderstorms will gradually move south into Oklahoma this evening and tonight. Low temperatures are expected to fall into the low 60s in western Kansas while southeast Kansas bottoms out in the lower 70s. $$
