Temperatures topped out in the 80s for most with a few 90s dotting the area. An isolated shower or two popped up across southwest Kansas, a pre-cursor of additional activity to come. Tonight, more widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop along the frontal boundary . The heaviest thunderstorms are expected to impact eastern Kansas. Overnight lows will range from the upper 30s and 40s behind the front in northern and western Kansas to the 50s ahead of the front in eastern Kansas. For Tuesday, much cooler temperatures will be seen across the state with afternoon highs only warming into 50s and lower 60s. Cloudy skies along with showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected areawide. $$
