Low temperatures will range from the mid and upper 30s across the higher terrain of Northeastern PA to around 50 degrees in the Southwest corner of the state. These temperatures will be about 10 degrees above normal for overnight readings at this time of year. A surge of May-like warmth will send temperatures 10 to 25 degrees above the historical average Sunday afternoon with highs in the 60 to 80 degree range. The temperature spike will also precede the risk of severe thunderstorms across the southern half of the Commonwealth. Much cooler and breezy weather returns to Pennsylvania on Monday with high temperatures 20 to 30 degrees lower than Sunday. The rest of the week will feature smaller temperature swings trending on the cooler side of late March climatology with the highest chance for precipitation being on Thursday. $$
