Becoming breezy across the Keystone state this first day of Spring, that officially started at 10:46 a.m. Rain will expand from northwest to southeast this afternoon through early tonight before conditions begin to dry out to start the weekend. A couple of strong to locally severe thunderstorms are possible later this afternoon into the evening across the southwest part of the Commonwealth, including the Laurel Highlands. The first weekend of Spring will feature a nice warmup with temperatures forecast to climb 10 to 25 degrees above the historical average by Sunday into the mid 50s to mid 70s. Another round of rain and a few thunderstorms are expected later Sunday through Sunday night before much cooler and breezy weather returns to start next week. $$
