Expect cloudy skies for much of the day today as the cool low

level easterly flow continues ahead of an approaching warm/cold

front tandem. These weather features will combine to bring a few

rounds of showers and possibly an afternoon or evening

thunderstorm to the region today. Locally heavy rain of over one

inch in just 30 to 60 minutes is possible where several 

thunderstorms train across the same locations. 



High temperatures today will vary from the low 60s across the

Poconos to the low 80s over the Southern Tier and much of Western

PA. 



Clouds and a few showers will linger tonight and Thursday. Lows

tonight will be in the 50s across the Northern Mountains and 

Poconos and low to mid 60s in most other parts of the state. 



Drier and warmer conditions are expected for Friday and most or

all of the daylight hours Saturday, with rain chances increasing 

Saturday night into Sunday.
