Lows tonight into Wednesday morning will range from the mid 40s near the Erie shore to the mid 60s across the southeast. Numerous showers and a few thunderstorms are expected for the northwestern third to half of the Commonwealth this afternoon and evening. There is a chance for heavier rain over northwestern Pennsylvania. Rain is expected to spread across the rest of the state Tonight, with Wednesday bringing a soaking rain for the majority of the state. Rainfall totals through Wednesday night will range from as low as a quarter inch along and south of the PA Turnpike to upwards of an inch and a half in northwestern PA. Rain showers will linger across much of the state on Thursday, potentially mixing with snow in the northern and western mountains. Much cooler conditions will follow the passage of a cold front Wednesday night through Friday, with northern areas potentially near freezing Thursday night. $$
