National Weather Service Doppler Radar showed heavy snow falling over southeastern Wyoming and Colorado, with moderate snow spreading into the adjacent Plains. Additional snowfall amounts of 6-12 inches are expected for the Denver metro area and foothills, with higher amounts forecast for the higher elevations. Snow will cause major travel disruptions, particularly along the I-25 and I-80 corridors, with the worst travel conditions expected during the Wednesday morning commute. The heavy nature of this snow will likely lead to downed tree limbs and power outages. Snow should gradually taper off from north to south by Wednesday evening.
